This is always a “bittersweet” time of the year. Our staff has come to know and understand the children in their care so well, that our preschool classrooms begin to take on the feel of an extended “family”. Each day children are observed waiting for their friends before they walk in the building from carline, helping each other at their cubbies, comforting each other during difficult moments, and sharing their feelings and laughter… a lot of laughter…with their classmates. At the same time, the friendships which they have made, and the knowledge they have gained can’t be contained in the four walls of a single classroom. Joy is meant to be shared, and so it will be. We will miss our young friends who are heading off to new experiences in kindergarten, and look forward to greeting our returning students in the fall. On behalf of our entire preschool staff, I would like to extend our best wishes to all of our preschool families for a safe and relaxing summer. God bless!
REMINDER—SEPTEMBER TUITION AND ACTIVITY FEES FOR RETURNING STUDENTS ARE DUE IN THE PRESCHOOL OFFICE ON OR BEFORE JUNE 1ST! Out of courtesy for families on the waiting list, please understand that your child may be withdrawn from our preschool program if we have not received the payments indicated in the packet that was sent home pertaining to tuition, and orientation information by June 1st. Please don’t hesitate to call the preschool office if you have questions or concerns. Returning students will receive a welcoming note from their assigned teachers with more information about student orientation week during the latter part of August.
THE LAST TUITION PAYMENT FOR THE YEAR WAS DUE MAY 1ST. There has been some confusion regarding the last tuition payment. Please note that there is a tuition payment due in the month of May. Thank you!
THE LAST WEEK OF LUNCH BUNCH IS THE WEEK OF MAY 14TH. Also, please note that Lunch Bunch will not be held on May 7th, or May 8th due to Parent-Teacher Conferences.
ATTENTION PARENTS OF CHILDREN IN OUR 2 ½ AND 3 YEAR-OLD CLASSES: Your child’s class will be holding a “Spring Tea” event during the last week of preschool, on Monday, or Tuesday, May 21st and 22nd at 12:00 in the CFLC (gym). Please check your child’s tote bag for your invitation to this event. Specific date/time information will also be noted on your child’s class calendar. We hope that you can make the time to attend this event…it is a wonderful way to say “good-bye” for the summer!
THE PRE-KINDERGARTEN “END OF THE YEAR PROGRAM” will be held on Thursday, May 24th, at 7:00pm in the CFLC (indoor gym playground space). Refreshments (cake and punch) will be served immediately following the program in the gym. Please check your child’s tote bag for your invitation to this event.
OUR ANNUAL PRE-KINDERGARTEN MAYMONT PARK TRIP will be held from 10am-12pm on Thursday, May 24th, weather permitting. Each student must be accompanied by an adult chaperone in order to attend this event. More information on both of these events will be sent home in an informational flyer.
SUMMER CAMP CLASS LISTS will be sent home in your child’s tote bag during the last week of preschool.

PLEASE CHECK OUR PRESCHOOL “LOST AND FOUND” BOX located under the preschool office window. There are several items that have been left in the box for a period of time. After June 1st all remaining “lost and found” items will be donated to a local charity.
