Teacher Appreciation Sunday, May 20

We are blessed to have many wonderful teachers and shepherds working with our children in Sunday School! We will be recognizing all Sunday School teachers (children to adult) in worship on Sunday, May 20. Our children will be creating special gifts during Sunday School on May 6 and May 13.

Summer Sunday School Teachers are Needed!

Summer Sunday School begins June 17. We need teachers for all children's age groupings. Please contact Kay Adams for more information.

Children’s Sunday School at Mt. Pisgah has something for everyone! Through bible stories, games, crafts, videos, and many other activities, children learn that they are created and loved by God. All children’s Sunday School sessions use United Methodist materials.

Little Wonders Sunday School for preschool children ages 3-5, meets at 9:30am on Sundays in Room 102 (Education building, downstairs). Children learn the stories of faith in a fun and safe environment. These ages use “Rock Solid” curriculum and a traditional classroom teaching style.

Wondering Together Sunday School for children in the elementary grades, meets at 9:30am on Sundays in Rooms 202-211 (Education building, upstairs). Children rotate through a variety of interactive workshops as they encounter God’s word for their lives. This age group uses “PowerXpress” rotation model curriculum. Units of study for early 2012 are:

• Jesus in the Temple (Jan. 8-29)
• Jesus Calms the Storm (Feb. 5-26)
• Journey to the Cross (March 4 – April 1)
• Road to Emmaus (Apr. 15 – May 13)
• Living the Word: Anger Management (May 20 – June 10)
