Children's Ministries
Children are important to God and they are important to Mt. Pisgah. We believe that a vital part of our mission to bring others to Christ involves teaching children about God and Jesus in ways that are meaningful, engaging and age-appropriate.We invite you to join us at any of our children’s programs to experience God’s love in action. Join us Friday, September 10 beginning at 6:30pm in the Christian Family Life Center for a FREE carnival - prizes, food, games, face painting - lots of fun for everyone! Invite your friends and neighbors.All Wednesday Night activities begin on September 15 with dinner at 5:30pm. Cost is $3/child under 12, $5/adult, with a $20 family maximum.kidzJaM, our mission group for elementary age kids, will meet on Sunday, September 19 at 3pm.Children’s Sunday School InformationChildren’s Sunday School at Mt. Pisgah has something for everyone! Through bible stories, games, crafts, videos, and many other activities, children learn that they are created and loved by God. All children’s Sunday School sessions use United Methodist materials.Little Wonders Sunday School, age 3-5, meets at 9:30 on Sundays in Rooms 102 and 104. Children learn the stories of faith in a fun and safe environment. These ages use “Rock Solid” curriculum and a traditional classroom teaching style.Wondering Together Sunday School, elementary grades, meets at 9:30 on Sundays in Rooms 202-211. Children rotate through a variety of interactive workshops as they encounter God’s word for their lives. This age group uses “PowerXpress” rotation model curriculum.Volunteer OpportunitiesNursery Volunteers are needed to serve in the church nursery on Sunday mornings during worship. Two shifts are available: 8-9:20 and 10:45-12:15. Volunteers serve on a rotating schedule once a quarter. All nursery volunteers must complete a background check as detailed in the Child Protection Policy. Please contact Kay Adams to volunteer.
